Bodice: The Basics of Better Fit

Class Description

$150 (4 sessions) Fri, May 2, 9, 16 & 23 (1pm-4pm) In this third pattern-making class by master tailor Rachel Berchtold, Rachel will take and use student's individual measurements to draft a custom bodice sloper (basic block pattern) for each student. Students will construct a simple fitting muslin from this sloper to adjust and finalize fit before transferring the final results to a finished pattern. Throughout the sessions, Rachel will share the essentials of bodice fit and ease, discuss style and shaping adjustments, and more. • materials and supplies not included in class fee • students are requested to pop in to SewTechCreate during the afternoon of April 25 for measuring
