Class Description

$60 + Kit (1 session) Sat, May 24 (10am-4pm) Quality pressing tools on the retail market seem to have become a thing of the past, and proper pressing technique is seldom taught. Yet the need for both the tools and the know-how—especially in couture sewing—has not lessened. In this session you will use a supplied materials kit to cover a custom-made sleeve board and/or tailor board. Once completed, Rachel will provide a lecture/demo teaching you to correctly use these necessary tools to effectively and confidently set the seams and shaping during garment construction. • materials and supplies not included in class fee • Sleeve Board Kit $90 (include wooden sleeve board, pads and cover pieces) • Tailor Board Kit $90 (include wooden tailor board, pads and cover pieces) • Sleeve Board and Tailor Board Kit $170 (save $10 over purchasing separately)
